Chris Brown
Chris Brown all I hear about in what passes for feminist discussion has centered around Chris Brown.
Does HE deserve a second chance.
Is he worth it?
Why do women support him.
And every person with out a blink without a flinch mocked the girls.
I have never heard Chris Brown do that.
ANd i remembered that when I literally gasped at the sheer AMOUNT of girls who said they would let him beat them.
And I wondered who is public and present and real who doesn’t by omission or intent mock black girls. Who says tehy are good enough and gets a real platform
WHo doesn’t say they are too dark , too big , too thin. too stupid
Whose love songs to black girls are about things they can be
not not being things they are.
Who doesn’t think that hood rat deserves it , until she’s part of a statistic
Who sings those songs?
Who wouldn’t run over a black woman waving her body as a flag to challenge someone else ?
Who shows them loved as they are.
I read Samcedes fic and see the excitement and I wonder
when was the last time this happened?
Why aren’t I shocked by this longing this Fervor?
ANd when I see that people ACCEPT that white women can fall out and weep and cry and moan at being disagreed with
That to be told no can be an earth shattering event
While folks pass around video of a black woman fighting for her safety and teh top comments
are her weight
and the camera quality
Do you actually not understand why a black girl my let herself be beat for a song
quien canta a las latinegras?
